Field Instructor — WFR
Hailing from Newton, Pennsylvania, Andy Brask joined NCOAE in late 2017 as a field instructor, charged with participating in pre- and post-trip briefings, and supporting lead instructors and students on the trips he’s assigned to.
Not only is Andy responsible for maintaining the physical and emotional safety of our hikers and adventure program participants, he also teaches lessons that engage students with different learning styles. In addition, Andy contributes to maintaining a fun and engaging trip, which sort of makes him the administrator of fun on the outings he’s on.
Before joining The National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education, Andy worked for Amazon Logistics, Ockanickon Scout Reservation, and the Doyelstown Rock Gym and Adventure Network.
Andy is a 2005 graduate of Penn State, where he majored in business and economics, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. His professional certifications include Wilderness First Responder (WFR), CPR, and Red Cross Lifeguard.
Andy loves everything to do with the outdoors, which explains his penchant for climbing, mountain biking and paddling during his off time. It also explains why he loves sharing this passion for the outdoors with others.
