Jordan Alexander
Field Instructor - W-EMT
Jordan Alexander comes to The National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education with
experience as a raft guide with Wilderness Voyageurs Rafting and Bike Tours in Ohiopyle, Pa.,
and a lead facilitator at Asbury University’s Center for Adventure Leadership in Wilmore, Ky.,
where he graduated with a degree in adventure and leadership in 2013.
Jordan’s hometown is in Lexington, Ky., which is where he first developed his hobbies, including
hiking, paddling, gaming, hunting, climbing and caving. Jordan is certified as a Wilderness EMT
and belongs to the Association for Experiential Education.
To that membership affiliation, Jordan professes a love for working with people in experiential
education situations. Especially when they finally get a campfire lighted or learn a new knot or
apply the lessons they learned in the wilderness to their lifestyle in the city.
As for his current position at NCOAE, Jordan says he is impressed by the curriculum and the
variety of trips — local, national, and international — that are available to our organization’s
students and clients. Jordan says he plans to continue a career living in the outdoors and would
eventually like to own a camp outside a big city where he could serve at-risk youth.
