Field Instructor - WFR
A 2012 graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Mass., Kaylyn can’t imagine doing anything but leading outdoor education activities for youth and young adults. Her professional experiences include snorkeling in crystal clear Caribbean waters while monitoring sea-grass health with middle schoolers in tow; digging in compost bins with second graders to observe worm behavior; and hiking a 25-mile rim-to-rim feature with high school students.
With her degree in Geosciences and Early Childhood Education, Kaylyn has been able to meld her scientific knowledge, curiosity and love of the outdoors with her passion for sharing the outdoor world with youth. In addition to instructing for NCOAE, Kaylyn works as a seasonal park ranger at Grand Canyon National Park and helps run residential programs for youth at The Canyon Field School.
