Todd Merrill

Field Instructor — WFR

Todd, a native of Greenville, North Carolina found a place to utilize his vast array of talents as an instructor at The National Center for Outdoor and Adventure Education(NCOAE). His love for the outdoors inspired his pursuit of a degree in recreational management from Appalachian State University.

With certifications in rock climbing and kayaking, Todd brings a well suited sense of adventure to the team here at NCOAE. In addition, his 20 plus years of experience in outdoor education and guiding makes him an asset to any instructor team!

When he is not helping others find enjoyment through wilderness you can find Todd hiking, mountain climbing, snowboarding and enjoying river sports. His ability to embrace change means he is always up for a new adventure.
