Wilderness EMT (W-EMT) courses are Wilderness Upgrade courses to follow the Emergency Medical Technician training (EMT-B or A-EMT). This course is specifically designed for EMTs who work in remote locations, are members of search and rescue teams, and for those who respond to natural disasters. NCOAE’s Hybrid Wilderness EMT training allows individuals to independently complete 30-50 hours of independent study and testing prior to the hands-on training on NCOAE’s Wilmington, North Carolina campus.
