Adventure First

At NCOAE, We Pioneered “Adventure First – Education Always”

Here’s what that means for your kids when you enroll them in Camp L.E.A.D.

Camp L.E.A.D.: Where each day blends hands-on exploration with active play.

Whether campers are building solar ovens, designing nature-based art, or paddling down local waterways, experiential and hands-on education fuels the way. From forest paths to marsh ecosystems, every environment presents an adventure, and every challenge an opportunity to grow.

At Camp L.E.A.D., kids learn by adventuring.

With themed daily activities, campers experience something new every session. They’re encouraged to ask bold questions, try new things, and see the world with fresh eyes, all under the guidance of our experienced, supportive educators.

Camp L.E.A.D is all about building confidence, creativity, and connection. It’s where fun meets purpose, and learning happens naturally through adventure and real-world discovery.

EDUCATION ALWAYS

Camp L.E.A.D.: Where movement meets imagination and learning feels like play.

From the moment campers arrive, they dive into a world of curiosity… one where confidence and connection are natural outcomes. With every hike, paddle, experiment, and shared laugh, our campers are discovering what they’re capable of.

At Camp L.E.A.D., kids learn by doing.

Whether they’re building nature-based art, testing water quality, or navigating a geocaching course, they’re also practicing leadership, teamwork, and environmental stewardship.

Each day brings a new mix of educational discovery, delivered through guided activities like:

  • Canoeing and sea kayaking
  • Hiking scenic and historic trails
  • Splashing, swimming, and water play
  • Treasure hunts and geocaching
  • Team challenges and collaborative games

Our experiential learning approach includes:

  • Outdoor science investigations
