Adventure First
At The National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education (NCOAE), we know adventure — and we know how to introduce it in a way that builds confidence, friendships, and excitement for the outdoors.
Camp L.E.A.D. Pro -North Carolina is a six-day summer camp experience for boys and girls ages 12–14. It combines three high-energy day camp experiences at our NCOAE campus in Wilmington, N.C., followed by a three-day overnight camping trip to one of North Carolina’s beautiful state parks, such as Eno River State Park or Hanging Rock State Park.
During the first three days, campers enjoy hands-on outdoor activities such as geocaching and scavenger hunts, STEM projects, arts & crafts, leadership games, paddling, navigation challenges using map & compass, environmental exploration, and classic summer camp fun. All of this logistically put together between a 9 a.m. drop-off and a 4 p.m. pickup.
During the second half of Camp L.E.A.D. Pro, the group travels together for a supervised overnight camping experience complete with hiking, campfire cooking, outdoor skills development and practice, and unforgettable memories in North Carolina’s scenic outdoors.
