Lucy Orr is the Director of Admissions & Office Administration at The National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education (NCOAE) in Wilmington, North Carolina, where NCOAE benefits from her background in office administration, customer service, team leadership, and operational support. Reliable and prepared to take on challenges as they arise, she helps our admissions and administrative systems run smoothly while supporting students and staff with care and professionalism.

Originally from San Clemente, California, Lucy has held several administrative and customer service roles that shaped her ability to manage details. She previously served as manager of the customer support team at Glass Box Technology in Carlsbad, California, where she led work related to customer service, quotes, purchase orders, and invoicing. She also worked directly with one of the company’s owners, like she does here at NCOAE, providing administrative support across a range of business needs.

Lucy also has experience as an office manager for a physical therapy practice, where she managed administrative and support tasks for three locations. In that role, she oversaw patient scheduling and registration, insurance verifications and authorizations, and patient concerns, helping keep daily back-office operations organized and responsive. At NCOAE, she contributes her skills in a role that supports the systems and operations behind student enrollment.

Lucy earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, Calif., in 2006 and is CrossFit certified. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, swimming, exercising, reading, writing, and spending as much time outdoors as possible with her husband Eric and their two sons.
