Alex Silberman

Field Instructor - WFR

With a background as an outdoor educator and a passion for providing life-changing
experiences for youth and adults in outdoor settings, Alex Silberman is a perfect fit at
The National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education as a field instructor.

Originally from Cambridge, Mass., Alex was an assistant instructor and logistics intern at
Philadelphia Outward Bound School, as well as an activity instructor and group leader
for PGL Travel in the United Kingdom. And he was senior instructor for Wingate
Wilderness Therapy in Kane County, Utah.

Alex graduated with a bachelor’s degree in adventure education with a focus in marine-
focused outdoor education and international studies for social justice from Prescott
College (Ariz.) in 2013. He holds membership in the Association for Experiential
Education (AEE), and has designations as a dive master, paddlesport coach for the
British Canoe Union, and a Wilderness First Responder (WRF). Alex is also a huge fan of
Ultimate Frisbee.
