NCOAE Wilderness Medicine is Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE)
When you successfully complete select NCOAE wilderness medicine courses, you’ll qualify for CAPCE CEUs that may be accepted by organizations that require continuing education documentation.
For example, the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and the Office of EMS in your state may accept the CAPCE continuing education units you receive from NCOAE. Other organizations requiring CEUs for maintaining or renewing a particular certification or professional qualification might include your college or university or employer.
NCOAE Courses Offering CEUs
Successfully completing the following NCOAE Wilderness Medicine Courses allows you to apply for CAPCE CEUs:
- Wilderness First Aid (Hybrid)
- Wilderness First Responder (Hybrid)
- Wilderness First Responder Recertification (Hybrid)
- Wilderness Upgrade to EMT (Hybrid)
Depending on your course, you may qualify to receive up to 78 CEUs!
Continuing education credits are based on a number of factors, including successfully completing your NCOAE Wilderness Medicine course, which includes achieving proficiency in one or more of the following areas of practice:
- Foundation (up to 14 CEUs available)
- Trauma (up to 35 CEUs available)
- Environmental (up to 15 CEUs available)
- Medical (up to 14 CEUs available)
