HYBRID EMT

Hybrid Course: In-Person & Online
Our unique hybrid EMT trainings combine 10 days of virtual instructor-led training with 11 days of in-person practical skill training. You’ll also complete 25-30 hours of pre-course training before beginning virtual instruction. This 21-day “intensive” hybrid EMT training helps you develop skills and understanding in the fundamental foundation of emergency medicine. From the basic concepts of anatomy and physiology to medical principles and patient assessment, you will gain leadership skills that take you beyond medical emergencies.

What will I learn?

You’ll gain the skills necessary to become a certified Emergency Medical Technician through hands-on training. You’ll also learn valuable leadership and communication skills that you can apply to every aspect of your life, both professional and personal.

Will I receive a certification at the end of the course?

Our EMT courses satisfy eligibility requirements for the National Registry and State EMT certification. After completion of your EMS course, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs and/or the North Carolina State EMS Exams.  Passing the examinations allows you to apply for and obtain state EMS certification.  You will also receive an American Heart Association Basic Life Support/CPR certification, good for two years.

Who will my instructors be?

All of our instructors are certified Emergency Medicine professionals ranging from EMTs to Paramedics and RNs and are the best in the industry. They have experience in EMS, hospital, fire service and military settings.

How long are the courses?

Our EMS courses range from 21-23 days of classroom instruction. For hybrid courses, there may be a gap of several days between virtual and hands-on sessions to allow for travel.

What is a "hybrid" course?

Hybrid courses are divided into two segments, a virtual and hands-on portion. The virtual portion of EMS training is 10 days of remote, live, Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT). This is followed up by 11 days of on-site, hands-on training.
